Fees · CNA Agreement 609-A/2021

Clear fees, in writing, before we start.

Our professional fees follow the minimum fee schedule of the Colegio Nacional de Abogados de Panamá (Agreement 609-A of 2021). You receive a written quote before any work begins.

How fees are set

A legal minimum, then the real scope of your case.

The Colegio Nacional de Abogados de Panamá, the country's national bar association, sets the mandatory minimum fees for lawyers in Panama in Agreement 609-A of 2021. Our final fee is always equal to or higher than that minimum, and it reflects the complexity, the amount at stake and the scope of the work.

Fees are agreed in writing before we start. If the scope changes, we tell you before doing additional work.

Professional fees vs. official costs. Government fees and third-party costs — Immigration Service fees, checks to the National Treasury, repatriation deposits, notary, Public Registry, Ministry of Health, DIGERPI, apostilles and translations — are always separate, paid by the client and itemized with receipts.

From first contact to engagement

How we work.

  1. First contact

You share your case by WhatsApp or email. We review whether we can help and with what scope.

  2. Written proposal

We send you the scope, estimated timing and fees in writing before any work starts — a fixed fee or a clear range, depending on the case.

  3. Engagement and start

Once you sign the proposal, we begin. What we sign is what you pay, and you receive periodic updates.

Depending on the scope

Ways we work.

Specific matter

Fee per matter

We quote the complete matter, with a fixed fee or a clear range. Payment at the start or in two installments, depending on the case.

Best when: Best when the scope is defined: a residency, a property purchase, a company formation.

Companies · Compliance

Monthly retainer

A fixed monthly fee for clients with continuous needs, including advice by WhatsApp and email and a set number of legal hours per month.

Best when: Best for companies, boards, regulated entities and families with several matters.

Recovery · Result

Contingency fee (cuota litis)

A percentage of the result obtained, where the law and the matter allow it — for example collections, enforcement and some employee claims.

Best when: Best when the client seeks to recover money and cannot advance fees.

Request a written quote.
